Designed to produce large-scale projects for studios and enterprises, the ConceptD 900 CT900-91A-ED11 Workstation from Acer is geared towards filmmakers, animators, product designers, architects, and others who want to get lost in the creative process without worrying about long render times. It is also suitable for AI and deep-learning developers that need improved graphics power. The system is powered by dual 2.4 GHz Intel Xeon Gold 6148 20-Core processors armed with 20 cores on each CPU, for a total of 40 cores. There is also 27.5MB of cache per processor, for a total of 55MB. These processors, cores, and cache will allow you to run multiple applications simultaneously and provide significant performance gains when running multi-threaded tasks. If you need more power, the CPU can deliver extra performance by increasing the clock speed up to 3.7 GHz utilizing Intel’s Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. The 192GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 ECC Registered RAM comes in a 12 x 16GB configuration and further boosts performance. As 192GB is the maximum amount of RAM supported, no upgrades are possible.

For storage of your files, this system is equipped with a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. If you want to add external storage drives, optical drives, printers, memory card readers, or other peripherals, the ConceptD 900 features two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports (front) and four USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports (rear). The dedicated NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 graphics card has 24GB of GDDR6 RAM and delivers a sharp, clear picture, while allowing for multiple simultaneous displays to be used via its four DisplayPort 1.4 outputs at resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 @ 60 Hz. Network connectivity is achieved using two wired Gigabit Ethernet ports. Host connectivity is rounded out with six 3.5mm audio jacks and one S/PDIF jack.

Acer’s ConceptD 900 CT900-91A-ED11 Workstation only includes a power cord. A keyboard and mouse are not included and must be purchased separately. The installed operating system is Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) and protection is provided by a limited 1-year warranty with free tech support via phone.

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8’s Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft’s digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone.
