Designed for professional applications, this Falcon 8+ Octocopter Drone Bundle from Intel includes everything you need to get up and running. You get the Falcon 8+ UAV, a cockpit remote controller, three batteries, three chargers, and a backpack to transport it all.
Engineered to accomplish critical inspection and surveying missions with precision, the Falcon 8+ features an AscTec Trinity Control Unit and three redundant IMUs. Together they offer safety and redundancy in UAV position, altitude, and orientation for a stable flight and quick, reliable data fusion.
The Falcon 8+ is also designed to combine its accurate positioning with an unobstructed data capture and millimeter accuracy for GSD (Ground Sample Distance). It does this via support for multiple optional payload options that are meant to provide an exceptional weight-to-payload ratio, as well as through its V-shaped design. This design helps enable a 180+° view from top to bottom from just one camera (not included).
Compatible Payloads
The following compatible payloads are not included, but are required to capture survey and inspection data:
Sony Alpha 7R Survey Package: This optional package is meant for inspections, surveying, and aerial mapping. It includes a 36MP full-frame DSLM camera and Sony Sonnar T FE 35mm f/2.8 ZA lens. You can use it to fly complex waypoint survey missions and fast automated surveys without the need of a laptop.
ZS50 Inspection Package: This optional package includes a hybrid RGB and 14-bit raw near-infrared camera and hi-res digital camera mounted in parallel. This is meant to provide detailed thermal and visual information in real time utilizing a variety of flight modes.
Advanced Flight Performance
The Falcon 8+ has been built to provide stable performance in the face of high winds and weak GPS signals, as well as resistance to magnetic field disturbances.
Data Privacy
Keep your survey or inspection from prying eyes by utilizing the ability to use optional onboard data storage in a closed system.
